Expert Group on Crime Statistics

The establishment of an Expert Group on Crime Statistics was recommended by the National Crime Council in its report 'Crime in Ireland' which was published on 28 July, 2004.

Membership of the Expert Group on Crime Statistics:

David Kennedy, Chairperson, former Chief Executive, Aer Lingus.
John Brosnan, Director of Corporate Affairs, Irish Prisons Service.
Mary Burke, Director, National Crime Council.
Alec Dolan, Principal Officer, Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
Nicola Hughes, Research Officer, National Crime Council.
Brendan Callaghan, Principal Officer, Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
Joe Egan, Assistant Commissioner, An Garda Síochána.
Jim Finn, Principal Officer, Courts Service.
Domhnall Murray, Professional Officer, Office of the DPP.
Dr. Ian O'Donnell, Institute of Criminology, University College Dublin.
