The term ‘Other’ includes offences such as criminal damage, breach of bail, litter offences, no television license, street trading and offences prosecuted by Government Departments and other State agencies such as the Health and Safety Authority. A more detailed breakdown of this figure was included from the 2005 report onwards.
  3. 'Larceny' included as separate category in 2007 Courts Service Annual Report.

Note: Each individual offence a defendant is charged with is counted as a separate 'case'. For instance, if a single defendant is charged with 'assault' and 'criminal damage', this will count as two cases in the statistics, with two disposals.
